Welcome to FancyBetty.com! Here is a brief introduction...I was diagnosed with brain cancer May 2007. It was a total shock! Upon two years of reflection and prayer, I believe that this experience has been a "Godwink." Some of you may know about this term, for others it is new. I will provide more information in the coming days and weeks. It basically means there are no coincidences. For those of you who have followed me since the first blog on caringbridge.com this might seem contradictory. It is and it isn't. I still do not believe that God or the creator or Buddah or any other entity meant for me, or created me, to HAVE cancer. I believe the "Godwink" is how I handled the situation.

'Thank You' to all of you who have followed me during the past two years. Your prayers, your thoughts, your concerns, and your gifts of many "things," has indeed been a HUGE part of my recovery and in fact, I call you all my medicine. You have made an incredible impact in my life. I want to return your positive impact on me to others and be a voice for those who are not as vocal as I am in the world of illness, or Dis-Ease (as Timothy puts it)! It is essentially an AFTERCARE site.

What do I mean? Well, when a person is sick, has lost someone, or is in the middle of a storm, it is typical to get lots of help, lots of prayers, lots of everything...! Then, when the person gets through the worst of the illness, or loss, or storm, the strength from others seems to wane.
